What this site collects, why, and what happens to it.

This notice explains what phxlab.org collects, why, and what happens to it. It describes the site as actually built — if something here does not match what the site does, the site is wrong and we want to know.

Who we are

Phoenix Lab is the research and development practice of Phoenix Trading Ent L.L.C, registered in the Sultanate of Oman. Contact us through the contact form or by phone.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry. Your name, email address, and — if you choose to give them — your company and phone number, along with the message you write.

When you request a document. Your email address, and optionally your name and company.

Alongside either of those, we record which page you submitted from, an abbreviated description of your browser, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. We do not store the address itself, and the hash cannot be reversed back into one. It exists so we can limit abuse of the forms without keeping a record of where visitors connect from.

We also record whether the email domain you gave is capable of receiving mail, and whether it belongs to a consumer provider such as Gmail. This is a check against public DNS records. We do not send anything to verify it and we do not attempt to identify you from it.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. The only cookie this site sets is a session cookie for the administrator sign-in, which visitors never receive.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to send the document you asked for, and to keep the forms from being abused. Nothing else. We do not sell, rent or share this information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it is held

Enquiries are stored in a Supabase Postgres database hosted in Mumbai, India. The site itself is served by Vercel. Both are processors acting on our instructions.

If you asked for a document, our email provider processes your address in order to send it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation may reasonably continue, and reviewed periodically. Submissions our spam checks flagged are retained so we can find any genuine message caught by mistake, and cleared when reviewed.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Write to us through the contact form and we will act on it.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, the updated version will appear here.
